Black Diamond Casino review

A failed DNS lookup is unambiguous

A retired brand usually leaves something behind: a redirect, a closure notice, a parked page. Black Diamond leaves nothing. The domain does not resolve to an address at all, which means either the registration lapsed or the records were deliberately removed.

Either way there is no casino here, and there has not been for long enough that nobody is maintaining even a landing page.

Be careful with the name

"Black Diamond" is generic enough that other operators use it, and a dead brand name is occasionally picked up and reused by an unrelated company trading on residual search traffic and whatever reputation the original had.

If you find a casino using this name, treat it as a completely new and unknown operator rather than a continuation of anything. Check its licence, its operating company and its terms from scratch. Our guide to new casinos sets out how to assess an operator with no verifiable history — and a recycled name is worse than no history, because it borrows credibility it has not earned.

If you had money here

With no site and no contact route, options are limited. Check any email you still hold from the operator for a licensing reference and a parent company name, and approach the Curaçao licensing authority with those details. We would not describe the prospects as good, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

It is a hard argument for the point our rand casinos guide makes about licensing: when an offshore operator disappears, the practical recourse is very close to none.
