Live dealer casinos
This is the one area where the rand-first casinos genuinely cannot compete, and it is worth understanding why before you sign up somewhere expecting tables that are not there.

Why the rand casinos do not have it
Most casinos built for South African players — Springbok, Silversands, Yebo, Punt, Jackpot Cash, White Lotus — run Realtime Gaming and nothing else. RTG is a capable slots supplier and is not a live casino supplier. No amount of demand changes that: the tables are not in the catalogue because the catalogue does not contain tables.
Live dealer is dominated by a small number of specialist studios, Evolution foremost among them, and access requires an operator to run a multi-supplier platform. That is a different kind of business to a single-supplier white label, and few of the rand-first operators are set up for it.
The trade-off you are being asked to make
Choosing live dealer in this market generally means choosing an operator that is weaker on the things the local casinos are strong at. 10Bet carries Evolution, NetEnt and Playtech, and scores 9.2 on our catalogue pillar — the highest of any casino we rank. It is also multi-currency, so you pay a conversion spread on the way in and out, and its banking is card-and-e-wallet rather than instant EFT.
Lekker Bets is the middle path: a multi-supplier platform that keeps rand balances and supports Ozow and instant EFT. Its support is the weakest pillar among our partners and the brand is younger, which is why it ranks where it does — but on catalogue it does something the established rand brands cannot.
There is no option that gives you Evolution tables, rand balances and instant EFT together. If someone tells you otherwise, check the lobby before you deposit.

What to check before you sit down
Table limits. Live tables carry minimums considerably higher than slots. A R5 slot spin has no live equivalent; expect minimums from around R10 upward and considerably more at premium tables.
Stream quality and data. Budget 500MB to 1GB an hour. Most providers allow a lower-quality stream, which is worth setting in advance on mobile data — see our mobile guide.
Bonus weighting. Live tables typically contribute 10% or less towards wagering. A welcome bonus you intend to clear on live blackjack is a much larger commitment than the multiplier suggests.
Live dealer questions
Which South African casinos have real live dealer tables?
Genuine multi-table live dealer is thin in the rand-facing market because most local operators run Realtime Gaming exclusively, and RTG is not a live casino supplier. 10Bet carries Evolution, and Lekker Bets runs a multi-supplier platform that includes live tables. If live dealer is your main interest, start there.
How much data does live dealer use?
Video streaming is the heaviest thing you can do at an online casino — budget roughly 500MB to 1GB an hour at standard quality. Most providers let you drop the stream quality, which cuts that substantially. On a metered mobile connection it is worth setting before you sit down.
Do live tables count towards bonus wagering?
Usually at a heavily reduced rate, often 10% or less, and sometimes not at all. Clearing a 30x bonus on live blackjack at 10% weighting means staking three hundred times the bonus. Check the game weighting table before claiming a bonus you intend to use on live tables — see our wagering guide.
